Through Jungian Amplification

bio

Jacques D.P. Labello—Jack—is a university professor in Japan specializing in French didactics. A teacher trainer and textbook author, his career has long unfolded within the structures of language and transmission. Alongside this work, he has practiced Japanese ceramics since 2014.

During the pandemic, he and his wife went through a period of collapse and rupture. Confronted with the depths of the psyche, his research expanded beyond pedagogy into the terrain of symbol, myth, and transformation. This encounter gave rise to Soul Amplification, a work born from a vision: a luminous mandala revealing the hidden face of the divine feminine.

Now devoted to depth psychology and symbolic language, with a particular affinity for Jungian thought, he explores how the unconscious speaks through images, dreams, and archetypes. He first published on Jungian psychology in Psychological Perspectives in 2025. Soul Amplification is his first book-length work, tracing an intimate process of individuation.

Light in' Mater

In Japan,
Jack works where words meet matter,

through memoir, clay and canvas.

Between kneading and painting,
between writing and fire,
a single question persists:

what in us seeks form?

Where light takes form
